SABS, or “seeing and being seen” is the “new” Gen Z trend in which, instead of hiding in a dorm room, one enters the public space and interacts with other human beings, in the hope of having sex with them. 
 
Considered “old school” by younger generations, this practice may be bringing people together through simulating an age before smartphones and social media, where conversation, appearance, and spontaneity were how we met friends, hookups, and future spouses. 
 
While it may seem obvious that person to person contact is the easiest way to experience life in a meaningful way, today’s youth is still struggling to learn the basics. We celebrate SABSing as well as other new trends being adopted by our future leaders. 
 
12 Old school trends that are capturing Gen Z’s imagination.
 
1. Reading.
2. Completing sentences when you speak.
3. Knowing things.
4. Maintaining attention for more than 8 seconds.
5. Describing an event to someone without pulling out your phone to show them what you’re talking about.
6. Writing with a pen or pencil.
7. Watching entertainment that doesn’t involve a 23-year-old white dude screaming.
8. Having something interesting about yourself that isn’t a tattoo.
9. Not shaving your balls.
10. Writing checks.
11. Listening to a song in its entirety.
12. Rooting for your favorite team without having side bets where you get paid if they lose.
